Frederick C. LeFlore

Frederick LeFlore is a native of Durant, Mississippi, rooted in the heart of rural Holmes County. For 25 years, he has dedicated his life to education, serving as a teacher’s aide, classroom teacher, assistant principal, principal, and co-founder of S.E.E.D., a nonprofit supporting at-risk students across Mississippi.

Frederick’s stories are inspired by the people and moments that shaped him, especially the childhood experiences reflected in Chef Maurice.
